Project:
Lever House
New York, New York

Architect:
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill

The project is recognized as one of the best examples of the school of modern architecture in the City of New York. Its design was also one of the earliest examples of that school of architectural design in the United States. It has been accepted by the Landmarks Commission of the City in recognition of its design importance. It incorporated, at the time of its construction, the appropriate state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical systems available for a major corporate office building.
