Benjamin H. Milbank

Senior Associate

Ben Milbank is a Senior Associate with the Deep Carbon Reduction Group at JB&B, where he focuses on deep decarbonization retrofits for existing buildings. He brings to the firm extensive experience in engineering design, with a specialization in complex energy systems and decarbonization strategies. Prior to joining JB&B, he led the engineering design for multiple deep decarbonization retrofits, including for the International Tailoring Company Building’s decarbonization project, a landmark 180-unit residential property in Manhattan.

In addition to his project work, Mr. Milbank is an active voice in the industry. He presented at the ASHRAE NYC Decarbonization Conference on “The Power of Partial: Electrification Strategies in Cold Climates,” and has also contributed to Local Law 97 task forces, focusing on workforce development and CHP regulation.

Mr. Milbank holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers.
