Principal
James Lin, a Principal at JB&B, has been the leader of the firm’s residential practice since 2015. Tapping into his passion for creative problem solving through practical solutions, he strives to deliver efficient and sustainable buildings that maximize occupant comfort and well-being while achieving the client’s goals for the project. His leadership has enabled JB&B to successfully complete numerous construction projects of various types, including multi-family residential, private residences, office spaces, corporate headquarters, laboratories and luxury hotels.
Since joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Lin’s responsibilities have included HVAC design and project management. He has led numerous high-profile projects for various public and private developments, including the Hudson Yards Redevelopment and 111 West 57th Street in New York City, and the Royal Bank of Scotland in Stamford, CT.
Mr. Lin earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas, Delaware and Michigan. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Passive House Designer. He is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
