John P. Carioto
Senior Associate
John Carioto serves as a Senior Associate at Jaros, Baum & Bolles and works with the BATC Department on a variety of high-rise office buildings, educational institutions and medical facilities.
Mr. Carioto has taken the lead on the building automation and temperature controls design of commercial building core and shell and fit-out projects, laboratory core and shell and fit-out projects and healthcare fit-out projects. He has applied his expertise toward innovative facilities such as The Shed in New York, and has also assisted JB&B in the construction of major office buildings such as 61 Ninth Avenue. He has also taken the lead on large-scale BMS upgrades and replacements, and supported implementation of analytics projects. Current and recent work includes healthcare projects such as smart patient room technology and BMS integration for MSKCC Pavilion; laboratory and cleanroom initiatives at NYU Tandon and a Confidential Biotech GMP Facility; and high profile commercial interiors such as Google at 111 Eighth Avenue and Mizuho at 1285 Avenue of the Americas. He routinely authors controls specifications and sequences, drives vendor collaboration and commissioning, and delivers measurable performance improvements across large, complex NYC developments, including 175 Park Avenue.
Mr. Carioto is a registered member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
