Principal

Mohammad Ali serves as a Principal at JB&B. Since joining the firm in 2007, he has worked as a Project Manager and Project Engineer on a wide variety of complex projects such as airports, high-rise office and residential buildings, hospitality venues, infrastructure upgrades and educational facilities.

JB&B has engaged Mr. Ali’s experience on premier aviation projects such as The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport and high-rise office buildings such as JPMorganChase at 270 Park Avenue and One World Trade Center. He has extensive experience in working with existing facilities and has conducted the generator replacement studies for NYU Langone Health’s Old Public Health Building and NBC Universal at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. His expertise has been essential to the completion of JB&B work on high-profile cultural projects such as the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center. Mr. Ali has also been involved in the construction and renovation of office buildings, such as the fire alarm upgrade to 180 Varick Street, the 32nd Floor fit-out for MetLife at 200 Park Avenue, and Cornell Tech’s Tata Innovation Center. His work at the World Trade Center site also involved the fire alarm integration effort, including implementation of a building-to-building intercom system and design of the fire alarm system IP-based remote annunciators, vehicular RFID system and integration between adjacent buildings.

Within the firm, Mr. Ali is involved with the Electrical Department Standards Committee, which updates and develops all standards for the Electrical Department, as well as with the Electrical Quality Management Committee, which oversees the quality of work for all JB&B projects. Mr. Ali has collaborated with his peers in developing check lists to improve the quality of the firm’s work product.

Mr. Ali received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and is a member of 24x7 Exchange International. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Connecticut, Maine, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Vermont.
