Senior Associate

Ryan Pastor is a Senior Associate with the HVAC Department at JB&B. He has over 19 years of experience as a consulting engineer in the HVAC industry, with a primary focus on the design of airside, waterside, and steam systems, performing due diligence studies of existing facilities, peer review services, and infrastructure designs for new buildings. He has experience in commercial low-rise and high-rise multi-tenant workplace buildings, high-rise residential, hotels and resorts, educational and mission-critical facilities.

His primary responsibilities include the production of design documents, specifications and associated project deliverables; establishment of project goals and requirements; interfacing with clients; and developing project proposals, including any and all sustainable options. As a project manager he performs, delegates, and oversees project technical tasks, among them onsite existing-building surveys, retrieving key building operation information, preparing design concepts and sketches, performing calculations, selecting engineering systems and equipment, coordination among engineering disciplines, architectural designers and consultants, attending construction coordination meetings, documenting field observations of construction activities, review and approval of shop drawings, observing the completed installation and producing punch lists for project closeout.

Mr. Pastor earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic University in 2006. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and a LEED Accredited Professional. He served in the Marine Corps, was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was honorably discharged, having served to the rank of Sergeant.
