SUMMIT at One Vanderbilt

The firm’s AV Department worked closely with SUMMIT’s designers to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience 1,400 feet above the city. Close to 100 ceiling speakers have been integrated into state-of-the-art spatial audio mapping software, and processing systems allow audio signals to be treated as discrete objects controlled wirelessly using an iPad. A 50 ft. x 12 ft. MicroLED video wall’s media rendering and face capture system uses fully networked audio and video distribution systems to allow signals to be routed to any and all end points throughout the space. With invisible speakers creating an ambient soundscape and the video wall evident only by the image it creates in the space, it’s AV system that’s entirely experiential—and a prime contributor to the otherworldly aesthetic of this extraordinary reimagining of the traditional observation deck.
