Disney NYC Headquarters, 7 Hudson Square
Powering the Future of Broadcast and Entertainment
The Walt Disney Company has had a long history with New York City, and now Disney's connection to the Big Apple is getting even deeper, with the opening of their new headquarters for their New York businesses at 7 Hudson Square.
The 1.2 million sq.ft. building includes numerous types of workspaces for a wide variety of uses, including studios for news programs, talk shows, and live-audience presentations. Designed for reliability, the building features full generator backup, UPS, and redundant cooling and heating systems to support critical broadcast and corporate functions.
As one of the city’s first post-LL97 all-electric buildings, 7 Hudson Square meets stringent regulatory requirements and advances sustainability with roof-mounted photovoltaic panels and optimized HVAC systems. The direct outdoor air system delivers targeted ventilation, enhancing comfort and energy efficiency while eliminating fossil fuel emissions for occupants and the surrounding community. The project received LEED Platinum certification.
