Engineering Power for a Destination Resort

This project of approximately 7.3 million sq.ft. included a hotel tower of nearly 1,900 rooms, 150,000 sq.ft. of casino space, and 500,000 sq.ft. of dining, retail and entertainment space.

Among a wide range of amenities are a 5,500-seat theater, two nightclubs, an expansive health club and spa, a landscaped rooftop deck with outdoor pools, extensive meeting space and a one-acre oceanfront beach. JB&B was MEP design engineer for the central energy plant, emergency generator plant and the central chiller plant in conjunction with DCO Energy, with these plants providing sitewide normal power, emergency power and chilled water to the property. The design also included future planning for a second hotel tower that ultimately wasn’t constructed.
